“Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields  yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet will I rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.  God, the LORD, is my strength; He makes my feet like the deer’s; He makes me tread on my high places.” Habakkuk 3: 17-19

In thinking about joy and how to live in joy all day everyday the Lord is showing me that this is only possible as I meditate on His gospel.  He has saved me from the wrath to come!  If that doesn’t produce joy then nothing can.  His salvation reigns over all of my circumstances.  Because of His salvation I can live a life that is not dictated and controlled by my circumstances.  This truth shall indeed set me free!  Free from emotions and lies that my circumstances often try to dictate.

Thank you, Jesus, for your truth that is powerful enough to save me and continually change me!  Help me to keep my mind stayed on Thee!
