Mindy’s Place

The Lord is so kind! He led me to purchase Debi Pearl’s new book, “Created to be His Helpmeet” through a precious friend in Dallas. This book has been transforming my thoughts about my relationship to my husband and then today the Lord reminded me of what He taught me just 3 short months after moving to Maryland. He reminded me of the Ephesians 5 Scripture where He sets forth the truth that marriage is a picture of Christ and the Church. The purpose of the church (the Bride) is to glorify Christ. Through the teaching of a lady at church I learned that as wives our responsibility is to make our husbands known, to magnify him, not ourselves and our own agendas. This teaching is stifling to some, but to me it makes my spirit sing…to know what I was made for…to make my husband known, to support him in his agenda, to follow where he leads joyfully, etc. I am finding true joy as I look to God and cry out to Him for help to live this truth out in my day to day life.
